About Me

My photo
I am a wife to the most amazing husband (Eric) and a mother to 2 wonderful kids (Jessica and Evan). My family is my world. I have recently put my career as a medical assistant on hold to be a stay-at-home mom/wife. We want to raise kids with manners and still have a strong family, so I am always trying ideas to help make things easier on me (cleaning tips, organization, meal planning, crafts, etc.) I thought I would share them with everyone out there. So, please comment with your ideas, or if you have tried one posted on here (Did you like it?) I am always open to suggestions. I am also looking for money savers. It's my new passion now that there is only 1 income.

DIY Baby Wipes

Buying baby wipes has become beyond expensive. And if you want to save a few cents, you think of opting for the store brand but then end up using 2 at a time...there has to be an easier way! So I stumbled across a recipe to make your own wipes. I haven't used them yet, but they smell good and seem nice and thick. I will update you all once I take on a dirty diaper with them... but until then, here is the recipe I used.

You will need:
1 roll of Viva paper towels
3 Tbsp baby wash
2 Tbsp baby oil
2 1/2 cups of water

Step 1
Boil the water and then let it cool to room temperature

Step 2
Cut your roll of paper towels in 1/2. You will only use 1/2 at a time so save the other in a plastic baggie.

Step 3
Pull out the center roll

Step 4
Mix all ingredients in a container and place paper towels cut-side-down into mixture.

Step 5
After about 15 minutes, flip the container over for 20 minutes.

Flip wipes back to normal and you are all done!
